Starting her journey behind the lens on the circuit of the Canadian Superbike Series, Jacquie Matechuk has always created images with a photojournalistic inspiration. Images that have the allure to pull you in and keep you thinking. Whether Jacquie’s photographing epic sceneries, iconic architecture, action wildlife or extreme sports, the goal remains the same. Put the viewer in the moment and set their mind free. With an international client list, dozens of award winning images, and most recently featured in the global launch of the new Canon EOSR3, Jacquie shares her vision to motivate and inspire Photographers to be their best and embrace their personal journey. Jacquie is a 7x nationally Accredited CPA, (Craftsman of Photographic Arts) with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) and has developed an uncommon level of diversity in her portfolio with a particular focus on capturing decisive moments.
Jacquie’s unique approach to photography draws similarities to the mindset of the elite athletes she photographs. From recognizing the difference between wanting to be better or at our best (future vs. present), embracing and effectively responding to failure, to focusing on our actions, not the successes and many other powerful mindsets. Jacquie Matechuk strives to help other creators understand how to nurture and grow their passion.
